Open C for S60 3rd Edition SDK for Symbian OS

 

Thank you for installing the Open C for S60 3rd Edition SDK for Symbian OS. Open C is a set of POSIX and Open Source Standard libraries, designed to ease and encourage porting of open-source applications from desktop to the Nokia S60 mobile phone platform. The libraries included are: libc, libm, libpthread, libdl, libz, libcrypt, libssl, libcrypto, glib.

The Open C plug-in SDK provides Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), examples, and documentation to develop applications written in C. The
Open C sis files are available to run applications on the devices.
 


About Open C Help

The Open C Help is aimed at all developers working with the plugin. It includes both instructions as well as reference information needed in application development, including an API Reference Guide.


The sections present in the documentation are:

Developer Guides: This section deals with getting the user started with Open C.

Open C API Reference: This section deals with the standard base libraries provide a vendor-neutral (or Linux/Unix-like) C programming interface to the base functionality provided by such commonly used libraries as glib, openssl, and so on.

Examples: This section lists out the different Open C examples.

Alphabetical Indexes: This section lists out the alphabetical index for each of the libraries provided.

Open C Quick Reference: Provides a quick reference to the APIs included in Open C.
