This Guide explains how to embed the Web Browser for S60 as a control within an application by using the Browser Control API.
A Browser Control is a browser that you embed into an application to enable users to view Web content from within that application. The host application can control the way the Browser Control displays the Web content, dialogs, softkeys, scroll bars, and so on.
The Browser Control API was introduced in S60 2nd Edition, Feature Pack 3. This document applies to S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1 and higher.
The Browser Control API is compatible with any application that complies with S60 3rd Edition.
