Removable Storage Device

Messages can be stored on a removable storage device. You can specify an active drive, such as a logical disk on a memory card, to store messages. Subsequently, all messages that are created, sent and received are stored on this drive, and are accessible through the Messaging subsystem.

Messages on removable media are portable. Messages on a memory card are accessible when it is inserted in any device that supports the version of message data stored. For more information on handling multiple removable storage devices, see Multiple Disk Drives.
