Newspaper: Getting help (no DRM, no sign-in needed)

This design example describes a scenario for providing a help menu where the end user can check the policies for restoring purchases.

The user has earlier purchased a subscription for a Digital Newspaper application on their device. Now the user wants to flash the device, but is afraid of not being able to restore the subscription. The content is not protected with built-in DRM; the publisher enforces the access policies, and has also specified restoration policies. The situation is the following:

  • The user wants to learn application's restoration policies.

  • The user looks for a help menu that would provide this information.

Screen 1:

The user clicks on the status bar to access their subscription information.

Screen 2:

When the status bar opens, the user presses the Help & support button.

Screen 3:

The application displays a list of troubleshooting questions, as well as an e-mail address to customer support.
