ProximityReminder is
an example MIDlet that demonstrates the usage of the proximity listener.
The MIDlet registers a proximity listener for the device's current location.
Once the MIDlet is launched, it asks the user to add the current location
as the landmark for ProximityReminder. Once selected,
and if the user is within the 500 meter radius of the registered location,
a reminder pops up on the device screen, informing the user that they are
in the proximity of the registered location.
Steps for using this application:
Ensure that the device supports GPS. This application also works with positioning simulation tool
Install and launch the application.
Add the current location as the landmark for proximity updates using "Options > Add Proximity to Current Location".
Grant the necessary security permissions when asked.
If you are within the 500 meter radius of the registered location, an alert pops up in your device with latitude and longitude information.
