LWUIT provides two components for text input, TextArea and TextField. They both integrate with Nokia TextEditor on selected Series 40 6th Edition devices and all devices based on later editions, and with virtual keyboard on devices with no physical keyboard. On older devices, LCDUI TextBox and LWUIT's own text editor implementation are used.
