From Series 40 6th Edition, Feature Pack 1 and S60 5th Edition (Java Runtime 1.3 for S60) onwards, devices support Nokia security policy by default. Nokia security policy presents fewer prompts for the end user but still provides enough control over the applications using sensitive operations.
In the past Nokia Java ME enabled devices by default supported MSA (or earlier JTWI, MIDP 2.0 or MIDP 2.1) standard recommended security policy.
Some operator variants of Series 40 and Symbian devices can contain a different security policy definition from Nokia security policy.
Note: There can only be one security policy at a time configured to a device.
