The following table lists the media content types supported by Player. For each content type, the table also lists:
the corresponding MIME type
the protocols supported for the content type
whether progressive playback is supported for media of that content type
Note: Support for progressive playback can vary depending on the device.
the Control objects
that can be used to control media of that content type
On the Series 40 platform, if you play an MP4 or 3GP audio file using the file:// protocol,
the file plays as a video.
