Nokia Connectivity Framework has example environments for BT communication. You can start NCF usage by testing these environments. If any of the environments’ products are not installed on the user’s workstation, this will be indicated and the environment cannot be used properly.
To open example environments:
Select File | Open.
The file system
opens. Select <NCF_Home_Directory>\example
.
Select and open an example environment. The selected environment opens to the NCF Environment pane.
The following products have been added to the BT example environment (see figure):
Nokia_SDK_1_1_Java
Start Bluetooth on the emulator to allow communication.
Figure: Bluetooth environment includes emulators with dynamic connections
Bluetooth products are connected with dynamic connections based on the device’s BT address. A dynamic connection is a default connection for the NCF integrated products. When there are not static connections created between the products, a dynamic connection is in use.
The products have been connected to each other by two-way
connections, so they can send and receive messages from each other.
The BTTest.jad
application has been added to
every product in this environment. Communication is monitored on the
log.
You can start the Bluetooth environment in a way similar to that defined in SMS environment. Started Bluetooth emulators appear on your screen (see figure) and you can start using their versatile applications.
