Applications and messages can be added to the products from the product structure. In addition, applications can also be added directly from the file system.
To add an application from the file system, you can simply drag and drop it to the NCF user interface. If you drop the application in a product, the application is added both to the product and to the product structure. If you drop the application in any other part of the NCF user interface, the application is only added to the Applications folder in the product structure.
To insert applications and messages into connection of the products, select an application or a message in the tree structure and then perform one of the following actions:
Select a host product in the environment and then select Insert | Application / Message to Product from the menu bar.
Drag an application or a message onto a product in the environment.
Select a host product in the environment. Right-click an application or a message in the structure and select from the opened menu Application/ Message to Product.
An application or a message has been added to the product. The name of the application or the message appears below the product. The names of the applications and messages that are attached to a product are also displayed on the Instance tab of the Product Properties dialog. The application added to the product context starts automatically at product start-up.
