Selecting the language of the device menus

For localization purposes, you can select the language for the menus within the SDK's LCD simulation.

Note: This setting does not affect the menus in the SDK menu bar, which remain in English. In addition, it does not affect downloaded content, which remains in the language in which the documents were created.

To select the language of the device menus:

  1. In the main window, select Tools > Preferences and click the General tab.

  2. Select the language from the drop-down box.

    When you start the SDK for the first time, English is the default language.

  3. The SDK supports the following languages: Afrikaans, Albanian, American_english, American_Spanish, Arabic, Belarusian, Bengali, Bengali_Bangladesh, Bosnian, Brazlian_portuguese, Bulgarian, Cannadian_french, Catalan, Chinese_simplified, Chinese_traditional, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Euskera, Farsi, Finnish, French, Galician, German, Greek, Hausa, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Icelandic, Igbo, Indonesia, Italian, Kannada, Khmer, Latvian, Lithuvanian, Macedonion, Malayalam, Malaysia, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Sesotho, Sinhala, Slovak, Slavene, Spanish, Swedish, Tamil, Telgu, Thai, Turkish, Ukranian, Urdu, Vietnamese, Xhosa, Yaruba and Zulu.

  4. The selected language takes effect the next time you start the SDK.

    Note: The language change affects all SDK instances running on your computer.
