Simulating wireless connectivity between SDKs overview

The SDK simulates wireless connectivity technology between SDKs with NCF, a supporting application that enables SMS and Bluetooth connectivity between SDKs. The simulation runs over a standard personal computer network using the TCP/IP protocol and does not use hardware for wireless communications.

NCF is automatically installed when you install the SDK.

The SDK supports simulated SMS in MIDlets using an implementation of JSR 205, which includes JSR 120. The SDK also supports standard textual SMS messages, and Bluetooth connectivity between SDK instances, through the phone menus shown in the display area.
