The General Settings tab includes the following options for modifying general emulator settings.

• Emulator memory capacity

  Sets the maximum total heap size in the initialization file epoc.ini.

  The valid range is 8-256 MB. This setting allows you to emulate target devices with different memory capacities (maximum total heap size in the initialisation file epoc.ini).

  Note: This option requires emulator restart to activate the changed settings.

• Initial resolution

  The options are:

  • QHD Portrait (360x640)

  • QHD Landscape (640x360) (with QWERTY keypad)

• Emulator Start Up Mode

  Here you can enable or disable faster startup time for the emulator.

  • Select Start minimal set of services to enable faster emulator startup.

  • Select Start all services to enable all services to be implemented at emulator startup.

These settings are activated after emulator restart.
