Home screen widget dimensions

The dimensions of a widget displayed in the home screen view depend on many factors, such as:

  • The display size of the mobile device.

  • The display orientation (portrait or landscape).

  • The space available on the home screen. For example, some mobile devices may have more mandatory home screen applications than others or they may use dynamic sizing of home screen widgets depending on the number of widgets currently being displayed.

Note: The

Nokia N97 home screen layout allows for one size widget only, 82 x 312 pixels. The size is the same regardless of how many widgets are displayed in the home screen and the orientation of the device. The Nokia N97 layout for WRT widgets is one column in portrait and two columns in landscape.
