Interface Locale
- public interface Locale
Locale represents a locale stored on the device. By using this class,
a caller may:
- retrieve language and country codes of a locale
- compare two locales for equality

getCountry
public java.lang.String getCountry()
Retrieves the two-letter uppercase ISO 3166-1 country code (such as
"US") of the locale.
- Returns:
- Country code for this locale, or an empty string ("") if locale
doesn't correspond to a specific country.
getLanguage
public java.lang.String getLanguage()
Retrieves the two-letter lowercase ISO 639-1 language code (such as
"en") of the locale.
- Returns:
- Language code for this locale.
equals
public boolean equals(java.lang.Object locale)
Compares two Locale
s for equality. The Locale
s are
considered equal if they both are instances of the same class
implementing the Locale
interface and have the same
language and country.
- Parameters:
locale
- The reference locale object with which to compare.
- Returns:
true
if locales are equal, false
otherwise.
