Example: Creating a game using the Gesture API

This example MIDlet shows you how to use the Gesture API to implement touch interaction in a game application. This example also covers some key points to consider when developing a game for the Series 40 platform.

This MIDlet is targeted for Series 40 touch and type and Series 40 full touch devices.

Prerequisites

You need the following to develop and test this MIDlet:

  • Nokia IDE for Java ME (Eclipse) Pulsar or NetBeans with Java ME support

  • Nokia SDK 2.0 for Java or newer

  • Series 40 6th Edition Feature Pack 1 device or newer
