The Series 40 5th Edition Feature Pack 1 platform includes the following new API:

• Content Handler API (JSR-211)

The S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2 platform includes the following new APIs:

• eSWT API

• IAP Info API

• Mobile Service Architecture (MSA) (JSR-248); the S60 implementation details of this JSR are detailed in the Implementation notes of appropriate APIs.

The S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2 includes the following updated APIs:

• Bluetooth API (JSR-82) updated to JSR version 1.1.

• MIDP 2.1 (JSR-118) updated from version 2.0. For the latest JSR-118 specification, see the Java Community Process website.

• Location API updated to JSR version 1.1.

• Advanced Multimedia Supplements API (JSR-234) now fully supported.
