LWUIT for Series 40 provides two solutions for creation of parallel (non-hierarchical) views. Category bar is a UI element provided by the Nokia UI API introduced in Series 40 Developer Platform 2.0 (Series 40 full touch devices). The original LWUIT Tabs can also be used in earlier devices, but it has usability limitations in non-touch devices.
