The Nokia SDK for Java provides a development environment for media content and Java™ Platform, Micro Edition (Java™ ME) applications. The SDK allows you test WML, XHTML, SMS, and MMS content and develop and debug Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP) applications for use on Nokia mobile devices.
This guide describes how to use the SDK for application development using supported API's with IDE tools and simulations to test.
This guide is intended for developers who want to create and test applications for mobile devices that conform to the Series 40 Java Runtime 1.1.0 family of devices. To know about the devices that conform to Series 40 Java Runtime 1.1.0 platform, refer to Device Specifications at Nokia Developer.
