While you can use the SDK as a standalone application, you can also use it within an IDE to create a powerful development and testing environment. The following IDEs support the SDK:
Nokia IDE for Java ME (Eclipse)
Eclipse Indigo with MTJ
Netbeans 7.0 or later
Nokia IDE for Java ME (Eclipse) automatically detects and integrates the Series 40 SDKs for Java installed on your system. The Nokia IDE does not require any further configuration. For more information, see Using the SDK with Nokia IDE for Java ME (Eclipse).
To integrate the IDE with the SDK, you must configure Eclipse.
To integrate the NetBeans IDE with the SDK, you must configure NetBeans.
